Price varies depending on breed, hair texture, condition, etc. Desheds are especially recommended for German shepherds, huskies, and other dogs with undercoat. Deshed package includes ear cleaning, anal gland expression, and nail trim. Plus, we use a specialty shampoo that loosens the undercoat from the skin and brings it to the surface. After that, with the use of a brush and a dryer, we blow away all that hair you find in clumps on your floor. Perfect for dogs who shed a lot!

ALL dogs entering any facility must be up to date with 3 vaccines: rabies, bordatella, and distemper. There are several options to get proof of vaccination to us. You can register an account with us, log-in to the customer portal, and upload your documents via the “File Upload” button. You can email a digital or scanned copy to adoggiedo@shots.pet. You can bring your physical documents to your first appointment. Or, at last resort, we can call your vet directly. Please note, if you arrive at the facility and your vet’s office is not open/does not answer, we will have no way to verify your vaccines, and your dog will not be permitted entry.
It is your responsibility to make us aware of any health and/or behavioral issues. These include, but are not limited to: allergies, prior injuries, medical conditions, medication needs, and any suspected illness or infection. We are not responsible for any pre-existing conditions, but will do our best to make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible. Please be aware, we do NOT groom sedated dogs.

All cats entering either facility must be up to date with 3 vaccines: rabies, feline leukemia, and distemper.
Ways to help your groomer
-
Brushing through your dogs coat regularly will help tremendously, especially if you like to keep your dog’s hair long. Check out our tutorial to make sure you’re getting the areas that have the most potential for matting.
-
If you feel your dog’s nails are too long, the only solution we can offer is to cut them more frequently. Doing this will, overtime, push the quick back and we will be able to trim more and more. Vets can administer anesthesia and make this process immediate; however, we cannot. Walks on asphalt, dremeling, and nail trims in between grooms will expedite this process.
-
This is one of the easiest ways to help. As your dog gets used to being bathed, they associate it with fear less and less, and thus, are better behaved, allowing us to work with them more.
Reasons we may be unable to groom your dog as requested
-
We will do our best to accommodate aggressive, or uncooperative dogs. An extra handling fee may be applied if your dog is especially difficult. We may use a muzzle, but if we feel the situation becomes too dangerous for either the dog or the groomer, we reserve the right to refuse service.
We welcome all senior dogs, and take more time with them as they often have hip issues related to standing the entire time. That being said, a full service groom is not guaranteed if your dog refuses to/is unable to stand.
Our temperament and senior policies are in place because we value safety and comfortability over physical appearance. We strive to give your pup a calming, low stress experience, but if they become irritable, anxious, over-stimulated, or physically incapable of continuing, we will stop grooming for their well-being.
-
Just like your hair, your dog’s hair has specific shape, style, and texture. It’d be very hard to do a poodle style groom on a golden retriever, so please talk to your groomer and make sure that what you’re asking for is possible before hand. We will work with you to make sure we get you exactly what you want, or as close to it as possible.
-
Matting occurs when hair becomes entangled in itself, causing large clumps of knotted hair to form close to the skin. Leaving the mat there can lead to skin irritation and even infection. We offer dematting services, but we will not cause pain, or stress in the process. Sometimes mats can’t be broken up. It’s as simple as that. When that’s the case, it’s in your dog’s best interest to shave the hair and start over. This solution may not be ideal in terms of desired style, but it is the safest, and least stressful solution for the dog.

We offer a 15 minute grace period, and that is all. For example, if your appointment is at 2pm, you have until 2:15 to get there. At 2:16, you are marked as a no-show. If an emergency, traffic, or other extenuating circumstance prohibits you from arriving within the 15 minute window, call the facility as soon as possible.
A Doggie Do requires 24 hour notice if you plan on cancelling your appointment. Someone from our staff will reach out to reschedule in the next available slot. If you fail to provide notice, a no-show fee will be applied to your account that must be paid before your next visit.
